Late pick-up policy
Please notify the Educator if you are going to be late picking up your child (250-809-2510). If a parent/guardian is unable to get to the school on time because of unforeseen circumstances, the parent/guardian will be charged a $1 per minute for late fee after a 15-minute grace period. After 3 times being late, you will no longer have the 15 minutes grace period. You will be charged 1$ per minute right away. The late fee must be paid upon pick-up. If after 15 minutes, no contact has been made with the educator, they will begin contacting parent(s) or guardian(s) and alternate/emergency contacts.
Inclusion Policy
SPEEEL is committed to inclusion where children of all abilities can participate meaningfully in all aspects of our programs. We will work in partnership with the families, and community resources to establish individual planning and goals setting. Our staff will model inclusion for every child attending, and will maintain an inclusive environment with equitable access, support, and participation for all children. SPEEEL is committed to adapt to any environmental considerations and structural modifications according to the needs of the children enrolled.
Open door policy
The Société de la Petite Enfance de l’École Entre-lacs has an open-door policy for all parents. Parents/guardians are welcome to come and visit their children at any time during opening hours. The smooth functioning of both programs depends a great deal on the continued efforts of volunteer members, the Board of Directors, the educator manager, and employees. We strongly encourage families to come in and share their culture, talents, gifts, and diverse abilities with the children.
Fundraising
Fundraising is an integral part of the smooth functioning of our programs. During the school year, the Board of Directors launches various fundraising activities. There is always a need for volunteer members to help in these activities. As well, should you have any fundraising ideas, please contact the Board of Directors to discuss it. Throughout the year, the Board submits applications to various providers for grants and subsidies that may assist with financial support for our programs. We acknowledge the financial support of the province of British Columbia.
